"text": "Home / WARN Notices / WARN Notice – Aliʻi Health Center Date Department Received WARN August 4, 2026 Date of Closure or When Employees Will Be Affected Closure scheduled: October 1, 2026 Transition Completion Date: October 5, 2026 Number of Affected Employees (Total) Total employees statewide: 140 Employees at Clinic: Approximately 64 Expected impact: All Clinic employees will continue during transition and be offered positions with Grantee Company/Employer Information Company Name: Aliʻi Health Center (“Grantor”) Address: 78‐6831 Alii Drive, Suite E239, Kailua Kona, Hawaii 96740 Contact Person: Dennis Tognoli Contact Information: (808) 909‐3212 Additional Information: Ali‘i Health Center has entered into a Donation Agreement with Kana Community Hospital (“Grantee”), a division of Hawaii Health Systems Corporation Summary of the Notice Ali‘i Health Center (“Grantor”) has entered into a Donation Agreement transferring substantially all Clinic assets to Kana Community Hospital (“Grantee”). Closing is scheduled for on or about October 1, 2026. Following closing, Grantee will assume ownership and begin operating the Clinic for the Hawaii Island community. For at least sixty‐five (65) days after closing, Grantor will remain the employer of record for administrative, compliance, and Hawaii Dislocated Workers Act (HDWA) notice purposes. Clinic employees will continue performing their same duties and receive the same pay and benefits, while Grantee assumes operational control. On or about October 5, 2026, Grantor will no longer be the employer of record. Grantee will assume all payroll, benefits, and administrative responsibilities. Grantee has advised that all Clinic employees will be offered continued employment on substantially the same terms and conditions. Grantor currently employs 140 individuals in Hawaii, with approximately 64 employed at the Clinic. All Clinic employees are anticipated to continue working throughout the transition period and be offered positions when Grantee completes the transition.
