Summary of the Notice The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society (“GS”), a North Dakota nonprofit corporation registered to do business in Hawaii as Good Samaritan Society – Pohai Nani, has provided official notification under the Hawaii Dislocated Workers Act that GS will undergo a business divestiture. This divestiture will result in GS terminating its operations and ending the employment of the employees at the Good Samaritan Society – Pohai Nani long‐term care facility located at 45‐090 Namoku Street, Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744. The anticipated date of the divestiture is October 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. GS reports having approximately 185 full and part‐time employees, all of whom will be terminated at that time. The terminated employees will be given the opportunity to apply for jobs with the new operator, and GS anticipates that most will be offered positions.
