First Student will permanently discontinue operations at\n15625 32nd Ave N, Plymouth, MN 55447 on or about July 31, 2026. It is anticipated that 125 employees\nwill be laid off at this facility shutting down on that date. This layoff resulting from First Student’s loss\nof a contract with the Wayzata Public School District and is expected to be permanent. A list of affected\npositions and the number of individuals in each position is attached. There are no bumping rights.\nThe information provided in this notice is based on the best information available to us at this time. We are\ntaking this action because of the unexpected loss of a contract to provide services to the Wayzata Public\nSchool District which has had an immediate impact on our operations that was not reasonably foreseeable.\nThe loss of this significant contract is anticipated to impact our business not merely for a short period, but\nnow and for the foreseeable future. We are notifying you of this decision as soon as it was practicable to do\nso, taking into account the notice we received from the Wayzata Public School District and the cessation of\noperations in Plymouth due to the loss of this contract.
