Examination Resources was named as the Special Deputy Commissioner\nand the Plan of Rehabilitation (the “Plan”) was approved by the Court in April 2026. The Plan\nprovides for the orderly wind down of UCare’s business. Certain of UCare’s state contracts were\nacquired by Medica and UCare has been providing services to Medica to ensure a smooth\ntransition of those contracts. As of October 1, 2026, UCare’s support for the Medicaid contracts\nwill cease, resulting in the layoff of 102 individuals.\nPursuant to the Plan, the layoff is part of the orderly wind down and is permanent. The layoff\nincludes employees who work at UCare’s headquarters at 600 Stinson Blvd, Minneapolis, MN\n55413 and includes employees who work either primarily or entirely at home locations.\nEmployee’s last day of performing work will be throughout October and one employee will work\ninto November 2026.
